This Privacy Policy describes how the mobile app Sangrah ("the App", "we", "us") handles information. The App is published by sainilabs. By installing and using the App, you agree to the practices described here.
Sangrah is an offline library of Hindu devotional texts. We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, photos, location, or files. There is no sign-in and no analytics. The App works fully offline except for serving ads.
On your device only (never sent to us): Your favourite texts, reading progress, chosen verse script, app-language preference, text-size and reading options, light/dark theme, japa counts, and your reminder settings are stored locally on your device using Android's standard app storage. This data never leaves your device and is removed when you uninstall the App.

We do not receive this data in a form that identifies you. Google's handling of it is governed by Google's own privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy and how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
A small banner advert appears at the bottom of some browsing screens. No advert is ever shown while you are reading a text, and no full-screen advert ever interrupts your reading.
The App also offers one optional, rewarded advert: a "Support us" button in Settings that you may tap to watch a short advert and help fund the App. It is entirely your choice, and declining costs you nothing — every text stays free either way.
In regions where it is required (such as the EEA and the UK), the App presents a consent request, provided by Google's User Messaging Platform, before any personalized ads are served. If you decline, you will still see non-personalized ads.
You can reset or limit ad personalization at any time in your device settings under Settings → Google → Ads, or Settings → Privacy → Ads.
The App contains no in-app purchases and no way to send us money. It never asks for payment details. The optional "Support us" feature described above simply plays an advert; it is not a purchase and involves no billing.
If you turn on reminders, the App schedules gentle notifications on your device — for a daily text you choose, and for lunar days such as Ekadashi, Dwadashi and Purnima. These reminders are generated entirely on your device from a bundled calendar; nothing about your reminders is sent to us or to any server. You can turn them off at any time in Settings or in your device's notification settings.
The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country) and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App serves ads, please supervise use by minors.
The only data the App itself stores is the on-device preferences and progress described above. It is retained until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App. Ad-related data is retained by Google according to Google's policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this same URL with an updated "Last updated" date.
